About NYC Restaurant Ratings
We turn official restaurant inspection records into a map and clear profiles that help New Yorkers see the grade, the violations and the history behind it.
Why this site exists
NYC publishes detailed restaurant inspection results, but a raw dataset is difficult to use when you are choosing a place nearby or trying to understand a letter in the window. NYC Restaurant Ratings organizes those records by restaurant, neighborhood, borough and cuisine.
Our goal is practical clarity: make the latest inspection easy to find, identify critical and recurring violations, show changes over time and provide honest local comparisons without turning public-health records into sensational rankings.
What we do—and do not—rate
“Rating” on this site refers to the official NYC health-inspection grade and violation-point score. We do not review taste, service, value or atmosphere. We do not alter official grades or manufacture restaurant descriptions.
Independence
NYC Restaurant Ratings is an independent website. It is not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with the City of New York, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene or any restaurant listed here.
Corrections and feedback
Official data can contain delays or errors. If a profile appears incorrect, first check the NYC official restaurant search, then send the restaurant name, address and CAMIS ID to info@nycrestaurantratings.com. We can investigate our processing, but only NYC can correct the source record.
